Everything you ever wanted to know about fly fishing
but were afraid to ask! This class is designed to
cover the basics of casting, entomology, reading water,
knots and selecting and preparing equipment. Learn
how to determine what fly to choose, how to present
it like the natural and catch fish on a fly rod. The
class consists of three sessions. The first two are
held at Creekside where you'll learn about the components
of the basic fly fishing outfit and how they work
together. The third session is spent in the field
casting until your arms fall off, learning about water
and bugs and fish and how they all interact.
We assume you have
had little or no exposure to fly fishing, and our
goal is to provide you with the foundation from which
to build a lasting relationship with the sport.
Creekside Angling
Company provides all the equipment, including rod,
reel, line, waders and wading boots (if necessary).
The cost for the entire
series of lessons is $80.00. Classes are generally
held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the Shop
from 7:00-9:00pm, with the third session on the following
Saturday morning from 8am to 11am. We ask that you
secure your place in the class with payment at the
time of sign-up.
Gift Certificates
are available.

are tied, proportioned, the materials and tools needed,
and how to use them properly. The class consists of
three two-hour sessions at Creekside's Issaquah location,
and all the tools and materials will be provided.
The class is structured so as to provide the student
